Head of Production

About the role

The Head of Production will lead all production activities for Wasl Channel, overseeing film, video, photography, digital, social media and branded content projects. This senior position ensures that every media project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest creative and technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement production strategies, workflows and best practices to boost efficiency and quality.
• Build and manage a high‑performing production team, including producers, managers, coordinators and freelancers.
• Oversee resource planning, allocation and scheduling across multiple concurrent projects.
• Supervise projects from pre‑production through post‑production, ensuring timelines, budgets and deliverables are met.
• Review call sheets, crew requirements and logistical arrangements, mitigating risks.
• Manage studio, equipment and other production resources.
• Develop, approve and monitor project budgets, cost estimates and financial reporting.
• Negotiate rates and contracts with suppliers, talent, studios and vendors.
• Recruit, mentor and evaluate production staff, fostering a collaborative and solutions‑focused culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media, Communications, Business or a related field.
• Proven experience managing high‑value commercial, broadcast, digital or branded‑content productions.
• Strong understanding of pre‑production, production, post‑production and content delivery workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, contracts and multidisciplinary teams.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation and vendor‑management skills.
• Commercial and financial acumen with advanced project‑management capabilities.
