Head Sommelier – Beachfront Destination

About the role

Join the new La Petite Maison beachfront location in Dubai as Head Sommelier. You will shape the wine programme, create memorable pairings and lead the wine team in a French‑Riviera inspired setting.

Key responsibilities

• Curate and continuously evolve a wine list that reflects the French‑Riviera spirit and complements the menu.
• Provide warm, personalized wine recommendations and pairings to guests.
• Lead, train and develop the sommelier team and educate floor staff on wine.
• Manage cellar operations, inventory, ordering and stock to ensure availability of the right bottles.
• Taste, approve and oversee condition and storage of all wines before service.
• Promote premium selections, drive wine revenue and organise tastings, wine dinners and special events.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of experience in luxury hospitality, including 3–5 years in a senior or leadership wine role.
• Formal wine certification such as WSET or equivalent.
• Passion for sharing wine in an approachable, unpretentious manner.
• Strong experience in list building, cellar and inventory management.
• Excellent hosting and teaching abilities.
• Knowledge of French and Mediterranean wine regions is a plus.
