Health Care Assistant – Patient & Family Focused Support

About the role

The Health Care Assistant supports safe, patient‑ and family‑focused quality care within the clinic, ensuring daily operations run smoothly while maintaining confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in daily clinic functions and support patient care activities.
• Keep medical equipment and examination rooms clean and ready for use.
• Maintain a safe working environment by complying with hospital safety, infection control, and security policies.
• Monitor clinic stock, ensuring supplies are up‑to‑date and free of expired items.
• Uphold hygiene standards in line with Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) requirements.
• Complete environmental assessments and ensure timely completion of Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) and mandatory education.
• Perform additional duties as directed by senior nursing staff or clinic manager.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1–2 years experience as a healthcare assistant or caregiver.
• Fluent in spoken and written English; Arabic is desirable.
• Basic education (9 or 12 years) with relevant nurse training or Health Care Assistant certification.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to assess patients' physical and psychological needs.
