Highway Design Engineer

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Highway Design Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team. You will work on complex road and highway projects, leveraging advanced civil design tools to deliver accurate and efficient engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex engineering tasks, including calculations, material takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and design work.
• Extract engineering data from CAD drawings and create digital Civil 3D surfaces and BIM models.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and construction documents for procurement and build phases.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and internal departments.
• Develop detailed requisitions for equipment and materials, review supplier submittals, and conduct technical bid analyses.
• Provide technical guidance to CAD designers, drafters, and junior engineers.
• Support senior management with advisory engineering input as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in road and highway design projects.
• Strong command of Civil 3D; proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
• Experience with MicroStation is a plus.
