History Teacher (Start Aug 2026)

About the role

We are seeking an outstanding History Teacher to join our team in August 2026 at GEMS Metropole School – Motor City. You will help promote global citizenship, critical thinking and sustainable values through engaging Humanities and History lessons.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver GCSE and A‑Level History (or equivalent) curriculum using enquiry‑based learning.
• Inspire students to explore historical concepts and develop analytical skills.
• Collaborate with parents and colleagues to support student progress.
• Contribute to the school’s sustainability initiatives and community projects.

Required profile

• B.Ed or subject‑related degree in History with PGCE/PGDE or equivalent.
• Proven experience teaching GCSE/A‑Level History.
• Passion for career growth, leadership and sustainability.
• Creative, enthusiastic approach both inside and outside the classroom.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
