Hospital Porter (Attender)

About the role

Royal Hospital Dubai Investment Park is looking for a Hospital Porter (Attender) to ensure the safe, timely and efficient movement of patients, equipment and essential healthcare items throughout the hospital, supporting clinical teams and contributing to high-quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to patients' requests for assistance, ensuring their comfort and safety
• Transport specimens from the Out-Patient Department to the laboratory in a timely manner
• Send and receive CSSD (Central Sterile Services Department) materials according to scheduled timings for all applicable departments
• Deliver files, documents and forms between departments and the Medical Records Department, including admission files to inpatient areas as instructed
• Collect general and stationery items from stores for departments on allocated days
• Comply with all OSH and infection control policies, standards and procedures, and cooperate with hospital management to meet them
• Be familiar with hospital emergency and evacuation procedures
• Report OSH hazards, incidents and near misses, and help prepare risk assessments and incident reports
• Follow waste management procedures and attend OSH/infection control training, mock drills and awareness sessions as required
• Use appropriate PPE and safety systems at all times

Required profile

• Able to speak English; Arabic desirable but not mandatory
• High School Diploma
