Hostess - 25hours Hotel One Central

About the role

The 25hours Hotel One Central in Dubai is looking for a Hostess for its restaurant. The role welcomes guests, manages seating and reservations and keeps the host stand active during service, in line with the hotel's friendly, informal culture.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome each guest in a polished, confident and upbeat manner, aligned with the 25hours tone of voice.
• Manage guest seating, flow and table allocation based on reservations and walk-ins, fairly and efficiently.
• Accommodate special guest requests and communicate with the service team so expectations are met or exceeded.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of menus, special events, seating arrangements and guest preferences.
• Handle guest complaints, feedback and queries professionally, resolving or escalating them when appropriate.
• Stay at the host stand at all times during service and keep the reception and entrance areas clean and organised.
• Manage reservations in the restaurant system, including inputting, updating and reviewing guest data and seating plans, and confirm guest counts and preferences.
• Answer phone calls promptly, assist with inquiries and record messages or bookings accurately.
• Coordinate with the kitchen, service and bar teams to match service pace to guest volume.
• Help with side duties such as updating seating charts, polishing menus and distributing menus.
• Follow grooming and uniform standards and comply with fire, health, safety, hygiene and licensing requirements.

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, including staffing levels, service equipment and guest relations.
• Ability to read English fully and speak it enough to hold small employee meetings.
• Ability to remember and promote the menu items and to move through a crowded room to seat guests.
• Ability to handle customer complaints positively and empathetically.
• Prior hospitality experience preferred; six months to one year of previous serving experience preferred.
• Additional languages are preferred.
