Hostess – Luxury Hotel Restaurant Front‑of‑House

About the role

The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests at the Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre restaurant. You will welcome visitors, manage reservations and seating, and ensure a seamless, memorable dining experience that reflects Forbes Five‑Star standards.

Key responsibilities

• Extend a warm welcome to all guests arriving at the outlet.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus professionally.
• Manage restaurant reservations, recording preferences, dietary requirements and special occasions.
• Coordinate with the Food & Drinks team to ensure guest preferences and special requests are delivered seamlessly.
• Answer telephone calls courteously and record messages accurately.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu offerings, promotions and restaurant facilities.
• Uphold impeccable grooming, personal presentation and hygiene standards in line with Waldorf Astoria guidelines.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar role or within a Food & Beverage department.
• Positive attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Commitment to delivering high levels of customer service.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to respond to varying work situations.
• Experience handling cash and knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations.
• Understanding of Forbes Five‑Star standards is advantageous.
