Hotels Accountant – Arabic Speaker

About the role

The hospitality group is seeking an experienced General Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting for hotels, luxury villas and other high‑end properties in the UAE. The role requires full ownership of accounting operations, accurate financial reporting and close collaboration with operations and property teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle – journal entries, AP, AR, GL, accruals, pre‑payments and month‑end closing.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports and property‑wise P&L, revenue and expense analyses.
• Reconcile bank, supplier, customer and balance‑sheet accounts; monitor cash flow and cash‑handling processes.
• Handle hospitality‑specific accounting – room revenue, bookings, refunds, deposits, POS and payment‑gateway reconciliations.
• Oversee supplier invoicing, payment schedules and vendor account management.
• Process monthly payroll/WPS, maintain salary records and coordinate with HR.
• Maintain UAE VAT records, prepare VAT workings and support VAT return filing.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis against budgets.

Required profile

• Arabic speaker with proven hospitality accounting experience.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in hotels, resorts, serviced apartments or luxury villas.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, accounting standards and property‑level profitability.
• Ability to work independently, take full ownership and coordinate with operations teams.
