Housekeeping Attendant

About the role

Anantara Hotels & Resorts is hiring a Housekeeping Attendant for its Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah resort, a luxury property on the Arabian Gulf. The role covers keeping guest rooms clean and tidy, maintaining linen and uniform stock, and supporting guest requests and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Clean all guest rooms according to the hotel's standard operating procedures, and report any damage or loss found in a room immediately.
• Make beds, clean bathrooms, replenish guest amenities and handle laundry.
• Maintain records for linen inventory, uniforms and other items, and keep par levels of linen, towels and uniforms current.
• Process lost and found articles correctly and maintain the relevant logs.
• Follow and recommend measures to minimise waste of materials and amenities.
• Ensure health and safety requirements are met, including correct use of cleaning chemicals, and report incidents, suspicious persons, sleep-outs and 'Do Not Disturb' requests to housekeeping management.
• Meet VIP requirements and special requests, especially for families with children, and deliver them on time.
• Remove room service trays from rooms and place them in the service area, and make room status reports.
• Clean and look after own equipment, and perform related duties and special projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and sanitation standards.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and their safe use.
• Ability to make beds, clean bathrooms, replenish amenities and handle laundry.
• Good attention to detail, organisational skills and basic communication skills in English or the local language.
• Ability to work efficiently under time pressure and good physical health and stamina, able to stand, walk, bend, lift, push and carry supplies during a shift.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Knowledge of hotel safety, hygiene and emergency procedures.
