HR Generalist – Arabic Speaker (Read & Write)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist who is fluent in Arabic (reading and writing) to join KBR’s Abu Dhabi office. The role supports HR and HSE operations across the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with UAE labour regulations and KBR policies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain HR operations, policies and procedures in line with legislation and best practices.
• Support HSE initiatives by collaborating with HSE team leads and advisors.
• Administer compensation and benefits plans and assist with talent acquisition when needed.
• Prepare employment contracts, manage onboarding and off‑boarding processes.
• Handle employee queries, payroll liaison, leave management and global mobility coordination.
• Maintain employee records in SAP and Workday.
• Participate in workplace incident investigations and reporting.
• Build relationships with local HR, HSE regulators and government agencies.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of HR experience, preferably in the oil and gas sector in the Middle East.
• Strong knowledge of UAE labour law and other Middle Eastern regulations.
• Ability to make quick, sound decisions and work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HR information systems, specifically SAP and Workday.
• Familiarity with HR databases and record‑keeping.
