HSE Engineer – Civil (Infrastructure Projects)

About the role

aasa is hiring a full-time HSE Engineer for civil infrastructure projects. The role covers implementing and enforcing health, safety and environmental policies on site, supporting contractors and project teams, and driving a zero-incident safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and enforce HSE policies in line with UAE regulations and company standards
• Carry out risk assessments, job safety analyses and hazard identification for all site activities
• Inspect sites, audit and walk around, and close non-compliances on time
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Run toolbox talks, safety inductions and awareness programmes
• Ensure permit-to-work, RAMS and PPE compliance, and monitor contractor and workforce compliance
• Support emergency preparedness plans and drills
• Maintain HSE records, reports and KPIs, and submit regular safety performance reports
• Ensure environmental compliance, including waste management and ISO 14001, and support ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 implementation
• Work with site management and project teams to keep construction activities safe

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, safety or environmental science
• NEBOSH IGC certification mandatory (preferred)
• Minimum 4-7 years of HSE experience in construction or infrastructure projects
• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and ISO standards
