HSE Engineer - High-Rise Construction

About the role

Careers International is looking for a competent HSE Engineer to ensure health, safety and environmental standards are implemented and followed on high-rise construction projects in Dubai. The role enforces safety policies and ensures all workers comply with UAE safety laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement site-specific HSE plans and ensure compliance
• Conduct safety audits, inspections and risk assessments
• Report and investigate incidents and near-misses
• Develop and deliver toolbox talks and safety training
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment
• Liaise with government authorities such as Dubai Municipality and DCD as required
• Maintain documentation including incident reports, safety logs and inspection records
• Ensure fire safety, scaffolding and excavation follow legal norms
• Monitor site safety signage, barricades and emergency exits
• Promote a positive safety culture among staff and the labour force

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety
• NEBOSH/IOSH certification (mandatory)
• 5+ years of HSE experience on high-rise building projects in the UAE
• Deep understanding of UAE HSE regulations
• Valid UAE driving licence
