HSE Manager (Marine/Ports)

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environmental management for a major ports and marine project in Abu Dhabi, ensuring safe execution and compliance across marine construction and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and implement the project HSE management system and promote a strong safety culture across all work fronts.
• Oversee contractor HSE performance, including audits, inspections, PTW compliance, RAMS review, and corrective action closure.
• Manage HSE risk controls for marine activities such as dredging, reclamation, marine construction, and port infrastructure operations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and procedures, prepare HSE reports, KPIs and performance updates.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and drive corrective/preventive actions.
• Coordinate with project leadership, contractors and stakeholders to resolve HSE issues and maintain safe, compliant delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction or a related field (or equivalent).
• Minimum 15 years of relevant HSE experience with strong marine/ports project exposure.
• Professional HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, IEMA, IRCA or equivalent.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills with a proactive, hands‑on approach.
