HSES Technician

About the role

The HSES Technician provides technical solutions in collaboration with HSE Advisors and Supervisors, ensuring compliance with local and international health, safety, environment and security regulations. The role supports proactive prevention programs and assists with incident investigations and emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Stay conversant with local and international HSES laws, codes, and regulations.
• Develop and administer proactive prevention programs for incidents.
• Provide technical assistance to ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and health regulations.
• Implement the HSES activity plan and monitor schedule adherence.
• Assist with incident investigations, report compilation, and medical evacuations.
• Conduct regular inspections of work areas to identify unsafe acts or conditions.
• Perform compliance evaluations of equipment, structures, and work in progress.
• Observe work groups, provide guidance, and coach personnel on safe work practices.
• Deliver and observe toolbox talks and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
• Report deficiencies in plant and equipment condition.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent certification.
• 2 to 3 years of relevant HSES experience.
• Experience with on‑shore and offshore technical activities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
