Human Resource Officer

About the role

Careers International is hiring a full-time Human Resource officer in Dubai. The role covers HR administration, onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, visa and government relations, and compliance reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date employee records (hard and soft copies) and prepare and manage employment contracts, offer letters and HR documents
• Track and manage attendance, leave and absence records, and assist in preparing payroll inputs with accurate leave deductions and overtime
• Coordinate onboarding (orientation, document collection, induction) and offboarding (exit formalities, final settlements, clearance certificates)
• Serve as a point of contact for employee queries, support grievance handling and maintain confidentiality
• Coordinate with the PRO for visas, renewals and cancellations, track expiry dates and ensure compliance with UAE labor law and work permit regulations
• Keep HR policies and procedures current, prepare regular HR reports (absenteeism, turnover, headcount) and assist in HR audits

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
• 1-3 years of HR experience in the UAE, preferably in construction or manufacturing
• Familiarity with UAE labor laws, visa processes and HR documentation
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage
• Excellent communication, attention to detail and professionalism with sensitive information

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word
• Knowledge of UAE labor laws and visa processes
