HVAC Site Engineer

About the role

An experienced HVAC Site Engineer is sought to join a construction team. The engineer designs, installs and maintains heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems across construction projects, working closely with project teams to deliver solutions that meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, calculate and specify HVAC systems in line with project requirements and industry standards
• Work with architects, mechanical engineers and other stakeholders to integrate HVAC systems into building designs
• Prepare detailed HVAC layouts, schematics and technical documentation using BIM and CAD software
• Inspect sites and supervise installation and commissioning of HVAC equipment
• Carry out troubleshooting, testing and maintenance to ensure system performance and reliability
• Ensure systems comply with relevant codes, standards and environmental regulations
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and consultants to resolve technical issues and optimise performance

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• At least 3 years of HVAC engineering experience, preferably in the construction industry in the UAE
• Familiarity with UAE building codes and regulations is preferred
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus

Required skills

• HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP and HAP
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, design principles and standards such as ASHRAE and SMACNA
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
