Information Technology Technician

About the role

The Information Technology Technician provides on‑site technical support for desktop and laptop computers, printers, scanners and other approved peripherals across SRTA locations. The role involves configuring new devices, performing preventive maintenance and assisting users with everyday IT issues.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain desktop and laptop computers, printers, scanners and approved peripherals.
• Install and configure new devices, operating systems and approved software.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on devices and peripheral equipment.
• Provide daily technical support to users, resolve hardware, software and printer faults.
• Prepare and configure user devices according to SRTA standards and policies.
• Visit SRTA external offices to assess technical needs and resolve tickets.
• Log and track support tickets, document actions, and escalate advanced issues to Level 2.
• Assist with user connectivity issues, coordinating with network and systems teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (mandatory).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant IT support experience.
• Arabic proficiency (mandatory).
• Valid UAE driving licence (mandatory) – role involves travel between SRTA sites.

Required skills

• Windows client OS installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Microsoft Office / Outlook end‑user support.
• Printer, scanner and peripheral setup and troubleshooting.
• Basic networking (LAN/Wi‑Fi connectivity, IP configuration).
• Ticketing / service‑desk tools and ITIL‑style incident handling.
