Infrastructure Engineer - Wet Utilities

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer specializing in wet utilities to join AECOM’s infrastructure project team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves supervising the construction of storm‑water drainage, sewerage, potable water, irrigation and related networks, ensuring compliance with design and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor construction of wet utility infrastructure works, including pipelines, manholes, catch basins, culverts and drainage structures.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and RFIs, and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, authorities, stakeholders and other disciplines to resolve technical and construction issues.
• Monitor testing, inspection and approval processes for wet utility networks and maintain proper records of site activities.
• Identify technical issues, construction risks and potential delays, and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in infrastructure and wet utilities construction, including storm‑water, sewerage, potable water and irrigation networks.
• Experience in construction supervision, inspection, quality control and coordination with contractors.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs and technical submissions.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team and manage multiple site activities.
