Integration Architect – Unified Data Platform (UDP)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Integration Architect to lead the design and delivery of the middleware and integration layer for a Unified Data Platform supporting a comprehensive healthcare ecosystem in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end integration and middleware architecture, including ESB, interface engine, iPaaS, orchestration, routing, transformation, queuing, retry, and error handling.
• Define integration requirements, interface specifications, data mappings, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
• Develop healthcare integrations using HL7 v2/v3, FHIR R4, DICOM, and IHE profiles such as PIX/PDQ and XDS.
• Integrate with regional/national Health Information Exchange platforms (e.g., Malaffi, Riayati).
• Design REST/SOAP APIs and API‑gateway policies covering authentication, authorization, versioning, and throttling.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, observability, and interface‑health dashboards.
• Ensure secure data exchange using OAuth2/OIDC, mTLS, and encryption in transit.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Data Engineering, Business Analysts, and delivery teams to guarantee successful integration delivery and testing.
• Support interoperability/conformance testing and production go‑live activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• 10–14 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years as an Integration Architect in healthcare/health‑IT.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Availability to work in the UAE market.

Required skills

• HL7 v2/v3, FHIR R4, DICOM, IHE (PIX/PDQ, XDS) standards.
• Mirth/NextGen Connect, InterSystems IRIS/Ensemble, Rhapsody, MuleSoft integration platforms.
• Azure Integration Services and AWS integration services.
• API design and management (REST, SOAP, API‑gateway policies).
• OAuth2, OpenID Connect, mTLS, TLS encryption.
• Data mapping, Interface Control Documents, and transformation tooling.
• Integration monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.
