Internal Audit Officer

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Internal Audit Officer to join our Internal Audit team at Takaful Emarat. You will support the execution of audit assignments, evaluate internal controls, and help strengthen governance, compliance, and operational efficiency across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing internal audit assignments according to the approved annual audit plan.
• Review business processes, policies, procedures, and controls to assess efficiency, effectiveness and compliance.
• Conduct audit testing, gather evidence, document findings and prepare clear working papers.
• Identify control weaknesses, process gaps, operational risks and areas of non‑compliance.
• Prepare audit reports with observations, risk ratings, root causes, recommendations and agreed management actions.
• Follow up on audit findings to ensure timely implementation of action plans.
• Support special reviews, investigations and ad‑hoc assignments as required.
• Maintain proper audit documentation and contribute to improving audit methodologies and templates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management or a related discipline.
• 3‑5 years of internal audit experience within the insurance industry.
• Knowledge of internal audit principles, internal controls, risk assessment and governance practices.
• Understanding of UAE insurance regulations and corporate governance requirements is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and report‑writing abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
