Internal Auditor – QHSE

About the role

Ali & Sons is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor specialized in QHSE to lead and execute the Group’s QHSE audit programme across its diverse business units. The role combines rigorous risk assessment with practical recommendations to enhance compliance, efficiency and operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and conduct scheduled QHSE and risk‑based operational audits across all Group entities.
• Define audit scopes by identifying relevant internal controls, processes and risk areas.
• Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of controls against standards, regulations and best practices.
• Document findings, observations and improvement opportunities with clarity and accuracy.
• Follow up with management to ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
• Produce high‑quality audit reports and executive summaries for senior leadership.
• Identify cost‑saving and efficiency opportunities through audit recommendations.
• Support the development and enhancement of audit tools, methodologies and policies.
• Coordinate special audits, investigations and ad‑hoc assignments with minimal supervision.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of proven auditing experience.
• Certified Internal Auditor qualifications for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and ISO 27001 (essential); API Spec Q1 & Q2 (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of QHSE standards, specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in risk‑based operational auditing, internal controls and compliance assessment.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Ability to identify risks, assess controls and propose practical mitigation measures.
• Valid UAE driver’s licence.
