Internship Programme 2027: Application Security Engineer (AppSec)

About the role

Revolut is recruiting Application Security Engineering interns for its Summer 2027 Internship Programme. The internship lasts 8-10 paid weeks, with real projects and guidance from industry experts. Top performers may be offered a place on the Graduate Programme the following year. The programme is open to international applicants willing to relocate to a tech hub in Poland, Portugal, the UAE or the UK; visa assistance, travel costs and accommodation (conditions apply) are supported. About 3 days per week are spent in the office where the role and location allow.

The internship runs from June 2026 to December 2026, starting in June/July 2027, and roles are filled on a rolling basis.

Key responsibilities

• Run SAST and DAST security scans to identify vulnerabilities and common OWASP issues
• Review system configurations using guidance and checklists
• Document security test findings and share them with senior engineers
• Research emerging security threats and contribute to knowledge bases
• Take part in security training sessions and team discussions
• Support developers by flagging security issues and suggesting improvements
• Learn from senior engineers and receive feedback on your work

Required profile

• Penultimate year of a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, maths, physics or a related field, graduating in 2028
• On track for a 2:1 or higher (or equivalent)
• Portfolio of coding side projects or open-source contributions
• Fluency in English
• Full-time availability for Summer 2027 and willingness to travel to a Revolut office in your country of employment
• Willingness to attend the office at least 3 days per week (hybrid role)
