Islamic Teacher for Non‑Arab Students (Cycle 1 & 2)

About the role

The International Community Schools (ICS) Al Falah City campus is seeking an enthusiastic Islamic Teacher for non‑Arab students covering Cycle 1 (KG2‑Grade 2) and Cycle 2 (Grade 3‑Grade 5). The role involves delivering Islamic Studies within an American curriculum framework, fostering spiritual growth and cultural understanding among a diverse student body.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Islamic Studies lessons for non‑Arabic speaking learners in Cycle 1 and Cycle 2.
• Integrate Islamic content with the American curriculum, aligning with Common Core and US standards.
• Assess student progress using formative and summative methods and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a respectful, inclusive classroom environment that supports both spiritual and academic development.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student wellbeing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies, Sharia, Quranic Sciences or a related field from an accredited university.
• Recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed, PGCE or equivalent) attested by UAE MOFA and equivalency from UAE Ministry of Education.
• Minimum 2‑3 years of full‑time experience teaching Islamic Studies to non‑Arab students, preferably within an American‑curriculum school.
• IELTS score of 5.5 or higher.
• Prior experience in the UAE or GCC is an advantage.
