IT Support Engineer

About the role

The IT Support Engineer is the first point of contact for technical issues, ensuring prompt resolution of incidents and service requests while maintaining high user satisfaction and system availability.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and other peripherals.
• Provide first‑level support for business applications via ticketing system, email, phone or in‑person.
• Troubleshoot basic LAN/Wi‑Fi, VPN and network printer connectivity issues.
• Perform OS installations, software deployments, patch management and routine system health checks.
• Maintain inventory records, coordinate warranty claims and document technical procedures.
• Support backup, recovery and endpoint security activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and assist in IT projects, rollouts and office relocations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk or desktop support.
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting hardware and software for end users.
• Familiarity with Windows OS, Microsoft Office and common IT tools.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts, Active Directory and remote support tools.
• Microsoft Certification or equivalent and ITIL Foundation preferred.
