IT Support Engineer – Part Time

About the role

Trip.com Group, a travel service provider, is hiring an IT Support Engineer on a part-time basis in Dubai. You will be the main point of contact for all technical and IT-related queries about onsite systems, reporting directly to the Desktop Support Manager in Shanghai. The role suits someone who wants to move beyond desktop support and work 2-3 days per week on dedicated days.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the normal operation of the company's internal clients.
• Handle hardware malfunctions such as client devices, networks, telephone lines and printers.
• Maintain and support internal client application systems and respond to client requests promptly.
• Distribute, install and troubleshoot client batch software.
• Manage cabling within the site and liaise with external suppliers as needed.
• Set up, control and maintain security systems, computer room distribution, room air conditioning, computer rooms and environmental monitoring.
• Provide remote IT service to employees based in the Middle East while based in Dubai.
• Assist with ad hoc assigned projects.

Required profile

• Degree at HNC/HND/Ordinary/Bachelor's level in a computer-related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Solid experience in high-volume, fast-paced desktop support.
• Previous experience sourcing and managing external suppliers.
• Familiarity with security systems, computer room distribution, air conditioning and environmental monitoring, with a willingness to learn more.
• Experience with IT service processes and ITSM systems.
• Mandarin is an advantage because of communication with the Shanghai headquarters.

Required skills

• Basic network troubleshooting; CCNA certification is a bonus.
• Active Directory, mainstream Windows and Mac systems, and mobile systems.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
• Configuration management and routine maintenance.
