Junior Accountant – Dubai Industrial City

About the role

Core Metal is looking for a Junior Accountant to support its accounts department in Dubai Industrial City. The role involves assisting with daily accounting procedures, maintaining financial ledgers, and managing petty cash in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily accounting journal entries, update the general ledger and perform routine reconciliations.
• Oversee petty cash transactions, prepare vouchers and ensure balanced records.
• Process payment requests, verify vendor invoices and maintain financial archives.
• Support month‑end ledger updates, preliminary VAT reporting checks and accounts payable/receivable tasks.
• Maintain organized filing systems for audit readiness and assist senior accountants with ad‑hoc reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce (B.Com preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on accounting experience within the UAE.
• Proficiency in English and Hindi.

Required skills

• Fundamental UAE VAT compliance.
• General accounting principles.
• MS Excel.
• ERP accounting systems.
