Junior Accountant – Dubai

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Junior Accountant to support our finance team in Dubai. The successful candidate will handle day‑to‑day accounting tasks, maintain accurate records and help prepare financial reports while ensuring compliance with UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash‑flow activities.
• Prepare journal entries and support month‑end and year‑end closing.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Process invoices, expense claims and payment requests accurately and on time.
• Support VAT documentation and ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations.
• Maintain organized financial records and assist during internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting‑related queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
