Junior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Junior Accountant to support the finance department of Graviton Interiors in Dubai. The role involves handling daily accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with month‑end closing activities. You will report directly to the Finance Manager and work in a fast‑paced office environment.

Key responsibilities

• Post and process data entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Manage petty cash and day‑to‑day cash transactions.
• Respond to customer queries, provide statements of account, and follow up on overdue payments.
• Review incoming payments, confirm receipt with customers, and allocate payments appropriately.
• Support monthly closing by booking receipts, credit notes and petty cash vouchers before deadlines.
• Track intercompany transactions for billing and processing.
• Update financial data in databases to ensure accuracy and availability.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Assist senior accountant with monthly and yearly closings.
• Participate in audit activities and other accounting projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or Inter CA/Inter ACCA qualification.
• Proven experience as a junior accountant.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Good numerical aptitude and understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting software.
