Junior Accountant

About the role

A cable manufacturing company in Dubai, UAE, is looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, banking transactions, financial reconciliations and monthly reporting. The role suits someone with strong knowledge of accounting practices, working capital management and financial reporting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Accounts Payable: verify and book purchase invoices for raw materials, consumables, packing materials and CAPEX
• Accounts Receivable: manage customer invoicing, follow up on overdue payments and maintain customer accounts
• Banking and reconciliation: process payments and receipts, run regular bank reconciliations
• Letters of Credit and bank guarantees: coordinate issuance, amendments, renewals and documentation with banks
• Cash flow and fund flow: monitor cash positions and prepare cash flow and fund flow statements
• MIS and material accounting: prepare monthly MIS reports, maintain material accounting records and reconcile inventory data with purchase and stock records
• Month-end closing: assist in monthly, quarterly and annual closing, ledger scrutiny and balance sheet schedules
• Support internal and external audits, and prepare financial reports, MIS dashboards and management presentations in Excel

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce; professional accounting qualifications are an advantage
• 5-8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, trading or industrial businesses
• Strong knowledge of AP, AR, bank reconciliation, LC/BG, cash flow and month-end closing
• Preferred: material accounting, inventory reconciliation and manufacturing-related financial transactions
• Analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to meet reporting deadlines

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel, including formulas, lookup functions and PivotTables
• Good presentation skills

What we offer
