About the role
We are looking for a Junior Buyer to support our procurement function in Abu Dhabi. The role involves handling requests for quotations, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in identifying procurement needs, preparing and dispatching RFQs, and conducting bid analysis.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure optimal pricing and payment terms.
- Manage purchase orders, monitor deliveries, and follow up on quotations and bids with end‑users.
- Monitor vendor performance and report evaluations to the procurement superintendent.
- Receive and verify procurement requisitions from stores and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships to broaden the network of approved suppliers.
- Ensure purchased supplies and equipment meet quality requirements and cost‑management objectives.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain compliance with health and safety policies.
