Key Account Manager – Pharmaceutical (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join a reputable pharmaceutical company in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on driving sales and business growth within assigned therapeutic areas while building strong relationships with healthcare professionals. Candidates must be currently residing in the UAE and have a proven track record in pharmaceutical sales.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute territory and account plans to achieve sales and business objectives.
• Promote and provide scientific information on assigned products to healthcare professionals in line with company strategies and compliance standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and healthcare professionals.
• Develop a strong understanding of assigned therapeutic areas, products, competitors, and market dynamics.
• Identify business opportunities and implement appropriate customer engagement strategies.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Medical, Market Access, and other cross‑functional teams to execute brand and account strategies.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities and provide relevant market intelligence.
• Effectively manage the assigned territory and customer portfolio to maximize business opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Medicine, or a related field.
• 3+ years of pharmaceutical commercial experience, preferably within an MNC environment.
• Experience in Oncology is a plus; experience in Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Women’s Health/Gynecology, or other Primary Care therapeutic areas is also valued.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Commercially driven, self‑motivated, and able to work independently in a field‑based role.
• Must be currently living in the UAE.
