Kindergarten & Pre‑KG Teacher (Full‑time)

About the role

Virginia American School is seeking enthusiastic Kindergarten and Pre‑KG teachers to join its vibrant early‑years team in Abu Dhabi. You will deliver student‑centered, enquiry‑based learning that supports the holistic development of young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for mixed‑gender classes in the Pre‑KG and Kindergarten phases.
• Monitor, assess and report on student progress, ensuring high attainment for all learners.
• Implement short‑, medium‑ and long‑term curriculum plans aligned with school objectives.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners, including EAL, SEN, Emirati and gifted students.
• Integrate real‑world connections and digital resources to enhance learning experiences.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and leadership to support student wellbeing and behavior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field with a teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE).
• Minimum one year of experience teaching Kindergarten or Early Years.
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development and effective classroom practice.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to engage parents.
• Knowledge of UAE school culture (provided during induction for overseas candidates).
