Kitchen Technician

About the role

Fairmont Dubai, a luxury hotel in the business heart of Dubai, is hiring a Kitchen Technician who reports to the Engineering Manager. The role covers repairs, maintenance and installation of kitchen equipment, and ensures continuous operations and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of kitchen equipment
• Carry out periodic inspection, cleaning and servicing of equipment
• Inspect facilities and equipment for conformance with operational standards
• Review job orders to determine work priorities
• Schedule repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools and equipment
• Complete preventative maintenance items in coordination with the plan
• Install new equipment, repair leaks and replace old or defective parts
• Collaborate with other maintenance workers, company officials and staff to solve maintenance problems
• Respond quickly to emergency calls about equipment repairs, report hazards and report abuse of equipment or energy
• Follow department policies, procedures and service standards, and carry out other duties assigned by the supervisor

Required profile

• A self-starter who takes initiative and can make decisions in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Constant standing and walking throughout the shift
• Proficiency in English, verbal and written
• Enthusiastic, dependable, good listener with strong interpersonal and communication skills
