KS5 Sociology Teacher – Full Time

About the role

GEMS Westminster School Sharjah is seeking enthusiastic educators to teach Sociology to Key Stage 5 students for the upcoming academic year. The role involves delivering the KS5 curriculum, fostering a dynamic learning environment, and supporting student achievement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess KS5 Sociology lessons.
• Provide constructive feedback and report on student progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall teaching programme.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Sociology (distance or open‑university degrees not accepted).
• Teaching qualification such as a B.Ed. (advantageous, distance or open‑university degrees not accepted).
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with the IGCSE curriculum.
• Creative, enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
• Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills for interaction with students and parents.
