Lead Auditor - Energy and Asset Management

About the role

Bureau Veritas is hiring a Lead Auditor for its Certification Department in Abu Dhabi, reporting to the Operations Manager and Certification Manager. The role covers external audits in line with ISO standards, including the full certificate cycle, and works closely with certification managers, technical managers, sales and technical teams, and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, conduct and complete audits and manage clients through the certification process, including opening and closing audits, reports and submission to the technical centre for approval.
• Manage client expectations, handle technical queries and NCRs, and keep clients informed during audits.
• Work impartially and without conflict of interest, following accreditation and HSE requirements, and track audit plans and schedules.
• Complete regular technical and HSE training and OHSE awareness training, and take part in at least one IMS audit observation.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Certification leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience executing, planning and completing audits for IMS/QHSE/BCMS for marine, oil and gas clients.
• Qualified auditor for EnMS, AMS, QHSE and BCMS.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• Fluent English and Arabic; knowledge of ISO 50001 and ISO 55001 is an added advantage.

• ISO standards and ISO 17021, IAF and accreditation requirements.
• NACE code classification and industry technical classification.
• Outlook, Office 365 (Word, Excel) and planning/scheduling software.
