Lead Construction Engineer

About the role

Penspen is urgently seeking a Lead Construction Engineer for a prestigious PMC project in the UAE. The role involves leading offshore construction teams and ensuring successful installation, hookup, and commissioning of offshore facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage offshore construction teams, including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Oversee installation, hookup, and commissioning of platforms, pipelines, and subsea structures.
• Ensure construction activities meet project schedules, budgets, and technical specifications.
• Provide technical guidance, review and approve drawings, procedures, and method statements.
• Enforce HSE standards, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with project managers, design engineers, and client representatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Piping or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience, including 5 years in offshore oil and gas construction within an EPC environment.
• Prior experience on ADNOC offshore projects and PMC environments is preferred.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
