Lead Engineer – Platform and Application Support

About the role

Lead the technical delivery of platform reliability and application support for Inception42’s AI‑driven products used by internal teams and external customers. You will own complex production investigations, coordinate service recovery, and turn recurring failures into engineering improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Set technical standards for production diagnosis, observability, runbooks and recovery; mentor engineers and review investigations.
• Own escalated support cases, keep stakeholders informed, and drive resolution within agreed service commitments.
• Lead major incident investigations, coordinating Product Engineering, Azure Cloud, NetSecOps, Quality Engineering and Information Security.
• Diagnose failures across code, APIs, authentication, queues, databases, containers and runtime dependencies using logs, traces and telemetry.
• Define service level indicators, improve dashboards and alerting, and build automation and diagnostic tools.

Required profile

• Extensive production application support or reliability engineering experience with complex incidents.
• Proven technical leadership – setting standards, mentoring, and delivering measurable reliability improvements.
• Strong communication skills for clear incident updates and stakeholder coordination.

Required skills

• Programming languages: Python, Java, C#, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Version control and CI/CD: Git, automated testing, deployment pipelines.
• Observability and tracing tools, alerting, Linux, containers, Azure cloud services.
• Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift, infrastructure as code.
• SQL, HTTP/REST APIs, authentication mechanisms, networking basics.
