Lead HSE Engineer – Onshore Mega EPC Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Lead HSE Engineer to join KBR’s on‑shore team for a mega EPC project. The role is based in Abu Dhabi and requires extensive experience in construction HSE management across the GCC. The successful candidate will lead HSE activities, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure safety standards are met throughout construction.

Key responsibilities

• Verify the readiness of systems and subsystems for MC and RFSU certificate issuance.
• Monitor and approve the close‑out of punch lists within the assigned area.
• Ensure that completion and handover methodologies comply with contractual documents.
• Provide HSE leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with client and subcontractors to maintain HSE compliance.
• Develop and implement HSE plans and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 20 years of relevant construction HSE experience, preferably on mega EPC projects in the GCC.
• Proven on‑site experience in large‑scale projects.

Required skills

• MC and RFSU certificates issuance processes.
• Punch list management and close‑out.
