Lead HSE Project (Offshore)

About the role

Penspen is urgently looking for a Lead HSE (Project) for one of its offshore PMC projects, based in Abu Dhabi. The role covers health, safety and environment planning and oversight across offshore sites such as artificial islands, platforms and subsea systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead HSE planning and execution across offshore sites, including artificial islands, platforms and subsea systems.
• Develop and implement HSE policies, risk assessments and emergency response plans.
• Conduct audits, inspections and incident investigations, tracking corrective actions until closed.
• Interface with client representatives, regulatory bodies and EPC contractors to align on project HSE goals.
• Mentor and supervise HSE officers and engineers, fostering a proactive safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC and international standards such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OSHA and NEBOSH.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in oil and gas, with 8+ years in offshore leadership roles.
• Experience managing all HSE activities for offshore oil and gas construction.
• Proven track record managing HSE for mega EPC projects, shutdowns and brownfield upgrades; PMC experience preferred.
• Previous experience in ADNOC offshore projects in a similar role is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Offshore certifications such as BOSIET and HUET are mandatory.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent is mandatory.
