Learning & Development Specialist – Retail

About the role

The Learning & Development Specialist will design, plan and deliver effective learning solutions for IKEA retail stores in Dubai. Working closely with store management, HR Business Partners and regional L&D teams, you will ensure that learning activities align with business priorities, brand competence and the co‑worker journey.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business and training needs into annual and monthly learning plans that meet SLA commitments.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end delivery of classroom, virtual, blended and self‑learning programmes.
• Maintain a pool of facilitators and buddies, ensuring readiness and availability for scheduled sessions.
• Drive learning engagement through campaigns, communication and social‑learning initiatives.
• Promote a strong learning culture aligned with IKEA values and monitor participation and completion rates.
• Ensure compliance with mandatory learning requirements and support competence development.

Required profile

• Proven experience in learning and development within a retail or similar environment.
• Strong planning, coordination and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with store managers, HR partners and regional teams.
• Familiarity with SLA management and delivery of multi‑modal learning solutions.
• Commitment to fostering a learning culture that reflects IKEA brand values.
