Legal & Compliance Officer

About the role

Harris Pye is seeking a Legal & Compliance Officer to support legal, governance and compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring business operations and commercial transactions align with applicable laws and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as EPC contracts, service agreements, joint ventures and supplier contracts.
• Provide legal advice on corporate structuring, M&A, and business expansions while ensuring compliance with local laws in GCC, Europe and APAC.
• Manage external law firms for complex issues, litigation and arbitration, and assist in dispute resolution.
• Support corporate governance activities, including board resolutions, shareholder matters and statutory filings for 12 entities.
• Conduct compliance audits, due‑diligence on vendors and agents, and support audit compliance matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) with professional qualification in secretarial practices.
• 7–10 years of experience in corporate, commercial and contract law, preferably within engineering, EPC, maritime or energy sectors.
• Proven track record in contract negotiation, corporate advisory and compliance across GCC jurisdictions.
• Strong understanding of risk management, anti‑bribery, anti‑corruption and corporate governance.
