About the role
A well-established, diversified energy group is looking to appoint a Legal Counsel to be based in its Dubai office. The role reports to the VP and covers practical legal support across transactions, projects and operations, safeguarding the Group's legal, regulatory and reputational interests while enabling business growth through effective contracting, governance, compliance and risk management.
Key responsibilities
- Provide practical legal support across transactions, projects and operations
- Safeguard the Group's legal, regulatory and reputational interests
- Enable business growth through effective contracting, governance, compliance and risk management
- Oversee legal matters from inception to completion, including management of external counsel
Required profile
- 7-10 years of post-qualification experience in law, with both magic circle law firm and in-house experience
- Oil and gas or energy sector experience is a must
- Fluent English is a must; Arabic and French fluency is an added advantage
- Law degree (LLB or equivalent) from a well-known university; an LL.M. is advantageous
