About the role
This position is based at Khalifa University in partnership with a leading government entity. The Legal Counsel will oversee contractual and legal compliance for Academic Partner agreements, ensuring KPIs and obligations are met while managing legal risks.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor Academic Partner contractual KPIs and obligations, conducting regular performance reviews.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date register of contracts, amendments, and milestones.
- Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and support compliance reviews.
- Interpret contractual clauses, provide guidance to stakeholders, and identify legal risks.
- Coordinate with legal teams on clarifications, amendments, dispute resolution, and enforcement actions.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in law, Business Administration or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience.
- Strong adaptability, proactivity, and relationship‑building skills.
- Experience in budgeting, policy development, and team coaching.
