Live-in Private Governess / Home Educator for Girls in Dubai

About the role

We are seeking a live-in Private Governess / Home Educator to support a private family in Dubai with two girls, aged 10 and 13. The role delivers a UK curriculum homeschooling programme while fostering confidence, independence and academic progress.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lessons covering the UK National Curriculum, with a focus on English and Mathematics.
• Design structured educational programmes and monitor each child’s progress.
• Encourage reading, critical thinking and independent learning.
• Develop strong study habits, personal organisation and preparation for future IGCSE pathways.
• Coordinate with specialist tutors when required and travel occasionally with the family to maintain learning continuity.

Required profile

• Female candidate, native or near-native English speaker.
• Holder of a UK, Irish, European, Australian, New Zealand or Canadian passport (preferred).
• Degree-educated; teaching qualification preferred.
• Minimum five years of teaching experience, preferably with ages 10‑14 (Key Stage 2‑3).
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and excellent English and Mathematics proficiency.
• Valid driving licence, professional, discreet, organised and proactive.
