Logistics and Customs Operations Specialist

About the role

The Logistics and Customs Operations Specialist is responsible for managing end‑to‑end logistics and customs processes, ensuring the efficient, compliant and cost‑effective movement of goods. The role works closely with logistics service providers, customs brokers and internal teams to keep shipments on schedule and resolve any operational issues.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute transportation for general cargo shipments, guaranteeing timely and compliant delivery.
• Coordinate with Logistics Service Providers, customs brokers and internal stakeholders to address operational, transportation and documentation challenges.
• Oversee import and export customs procedures, including documentation, declarations, SAP GTS updates and clearance support.
• Calculate freight costs, verify invoices, settle payments and resolve charge disputes.
• Support spot RFQ/RFI activities and supplier selection together with sourcing teams.
• Drive supplier performance, manage non‑conformances and claims, and pursue continuous improvement.
• Lead issue resolution for inbound and outbound shipments and handle customer, supplier and LSP claims.
• Monitor KPIs, prepare logistics performance reports and contribute to S&OP reviews.
• Deliver carrier training and ensure compliance with HSE standards and trade regulations.

Required profile

• Degree in Logistics Management or an MBA in Logistics/Operations Management.
• More than 6 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management.
• Hands‑on experience supporting logistics and customs operations in Thailand.
• Strong knowledge of local transportation, import, export, trade and customs processes.
• Good relationships with local and global transport suppliers.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
