About the role
The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring a safe environment throughout the hotel.
Key responsibilities
- Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
- Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms and fire life‑safety systems, responding to any alerts.
- Provide first aid/CPR, contact EMS and handle accidents or emergency situations.
- Defuse guest or employee disturbances, escort unwelcome persons and complete detailed incident reports.
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence and interview relevant parties to resolve safety hazards.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No prior related experience required.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, run and lift up to 50 lb (75 lb with assistance).
- Willingness to obtain any required licensing or certifications.
Required skills
- CCTV operation and alarm system monitoring.
- First aid/CPR administration.
- Incident reporting and documentation.
- Investigation and evidence‑gathering techniques.
