Maintenance Technician I – Dubai

About the role

The Maintenance Technician I provides on‑site support for guest repair requests and ensures the smooth operation of all building systems in a hospitality environment. You will work closely with guests, housekeeping and engineering teams to deliver timely, safe and high‑quality maintenance services.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve guest repair requests across rooms and public areas.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, kitchen, mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Inspect tools, equipment and machines, lubricate and clean as required.
• Identify and operate shut‑off valves for utilities and equipment.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies.
• Communicate daily activities and issues to subsequent shifts using approved procedures.
• Carry out minor carpentry, painting, drywall and wood‑trim repairs.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical components, TV units and other guestroom items.
• Program televisions, replace filters, bulbs and perform basic HVAC scheduling.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Maintain interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and pneumatic/electronic systems.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety policies and maintain professional appearance.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
• Physical capability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb and perform occasional heavier lifting with assistance.
