Maintenance Technician - Restaurant Operations (QSR Focus)

About the role

Careers International is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician for restaurant operations with a focus on quick-service restaurants (QSR) in Dubai. The role covers store-level repairs, preventive maintenance, vendor coordination and basic budgeting for outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair kitchen equipment such as fryers, ovens, tandoors, exhaust systems, refrigeration units, chillers and freezers
• Handle basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and civil repairs at the store level
• Attend urgent breakdowns and restore operations quickly and safely
• Maintain records of repairs and parts used
• Create and follow a planned maintenance calendar for each outlet with the Operations team, and carry out routine servicing of major equipment
• Inspect critical systems, flag issues early and ensure HACCP-related equipment checks are completed and documented
• Coordinate with approved service vendors, AMC providers and contractors, review job quality and timelines, help evaluate quotations and follow up on warranty claims
• Prepare basic maintenance budgets and forecasts, track repair costs and maintain inventory of essential spares and consumables
• Assist operations teams during equipment setup, relocation or new store openings, and train store staff on basic equipment handling and care
