Management Trainee - Event Planning

About the role

Grand Hyatt Dubai is looking for a Management Trainee in Event Planning to join its Event Planning Team. The role offers hands-on experience in event planning and hotel operations, supporting the team in liaising between clients and operational departments so that event requirements are communicated clearly and delivered effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating event requirements between clients and operational departments such as F&B, Culinary, Front Office and Housekeeping.
• Help communicate event details to internal stakeholders and follow up with departments so arrangements stay on track.
• Prepare event documentation and other administrative tasks.
• Monitor timelines, setup requirements and last-minute requests during event execution.
• Coordinate with external suppliers and service providers under the guidance of the Event Planning team.
• Attend events when required and help ensure a smooth guest experience.
• Learn to understand client needs and contribute ideas for event enhancements and guest satisfaction.

Required profile

• Previous internship or work experience in hospitality, events, sales, guest relations or customer service is an advantage.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and stakeholders.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, based on business needs.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn and a genuine passion for hospitality and events.

Required skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with guests, clients and colleagues.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
